Spaniard Nestor Jorge is still in the LKH Hospital in Graz after Sunday’s crash in Greinbach; the rider’s conditions are stable and he is still kept in induced coma.
Latest news is that the 33 year old was successfully operated this morning by Dr. Seibert in order to reduce the damages to the internal ligaments of his left leg.
Nestor hit his head in the crash and the hit caused a small internal hematoma which does not allow doctors to look for possible brain damages. For this reason the rider is constantly looked after by the local doctors.
More specific news might be available on Friday as the doctors will analyze how the situation has progressed in these first six days.
In the meantime Jorge’s PR staff distributed a press release stating the following:
“The Jorge family, Juanfer (Nestor’s mechanic) and Eva (Nestor’s manager) would like to thank the people supporting them in this difficult moment. We are facing this situation with the same optimism Nestor was passing us.”
More news will follow as soon as they will be announced by the Austrian doctors.
